Trump’s Reported VP Pick Mike Pence Once Slammed Trump’s Proposed Muslim Ban

“Calls to ban Muslims from entering the US are offensive and unconstitutional.”


On Thursday, the Indianapolis Star and other outlets reported that presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence to be his running mate. Pence is a lifelong conservative who served in the House for 12 years before becoming governor. As a congressman, he voted for a bill that proposed building a fence on the Mexico border, foreshadowing Trump’s proposal for a border wall with the country. But he has not been aligned with Trump’s other controversial immigration policy proposal:

By the way, Pence is a big fan of NAFTA and free-trade agreements—the deals that Trump has demonized as the reason America is no longer great. So there are at least two Trump signature policy issues that Pence opposes.
