Scientists in London’s Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School and University College have concluded genetic research which indicates that Jews and Arabs are far more closely related than previously thought.

11/1 – GI Jane’s eating problems In fact, seven out of 10 Jewish men and fully half of the Arab men tested were descended from the same paternal ancestors, according to the JERUSALEM POST. The scientists tested hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian Muslim Arabs whose great-grandfathers were not related. Their genes were compared with those of 119 Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews, and to that of non-Jewish residents of northern Wales. The researchers found that the Arabs are more closely related to Jews than they are to the Welsh, indicating a more recent common ancestry. Arabs and Jews had about 18 percent of all their chromosomes in common.
