Bandwidth, bandwidth, bandwidth. Everybody wants more, and most options available to average Netizens are much too slow. The cable companies are partially to blame; the technology exists for speedy data connections, but no company wants to spend the barrels of cash it would take to upgrade existing networks. In response, Microsoft made a $1 billion investment in Comcast last year so they’d enhance their high-speed data connections with cable modems and video services.
