Microsoft’s $150 million investment in its rival gave the Redmondites a door into Apple’s boardroom last August. The non-voting stock transferred in the deal becomes voting stock in August 2000. A few of the stipulations: Apple will make Internet Explorer the default Web browser on all its computers, and will drop its perpetual copyright infringment lawsuit against Microsoft.
